rubbish!

Well, as I said it's hard rubbish collection in South Auckland, and yesterday we got a bit carried away and brought back HEAPS of stuff. As I said we'd already picked up some drawers for Nigel, a couple of chairs for the dining room and a ratan chair for Catherine. Well, yesterday Nigel said he saw a bunch of childrens books, so we went to have a look and came back with the van choka block. I was like a kid in a candy store, and Catherine was yelling "Were rich, we're rich, we're filthy rich", which was a bit embarrassing. (I hope I havn't drummed it into her head we don't have much money, like every time she asks for KFC for dinner! because we get by alright). But anyhow... we picked up a pile of kids books, including heaps of Dr. Suess, then someone had actually thrown out about $50 worth of folders which I can use for my business. Not to mention a practically new cupboard worth at least $90 brand new (I couldn't believe that one). Another Ratan chair (I love these, theyre beautiful) and a boogy board and a little skate board for Catherine..

Well, I don't want to look like we're destitute, but this was cool. Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll be able to blog about how I've done some more of this stuff up :)
