Well, I said the internet doesn't work for me... but I've gone and put these bags on Etsy anyhow. Well, I couldn't sew... I've run out of thread and have no money to but more. Maybe if I sell a bag, I can buy some more thread.

On a sadder note. I see on facebook that the little boy who lost his life in the Boston bombings also had a sister who was an Irish dancer. Catherine has just started Irish dancing this year. The little girl lost her leg.

Hippo How-to PART ONE

Here's how to make my little hippo. Here is the pattern.

1. Place pattern pieces on scrap material

2. Pieces all cut up

3. Sew darts on the face and bottom... make sure they are done for either side of the body, left and right.

4. Place middle section at point of head, and start to stitch together along the side of the "side" piece.

My bodice and dream jacket

Ok, two bloggs in one day. Is that too much? It's all those bloggs I read today... there's so much I want to add! Well, I'm too impatient to wait till I've perfected my bodice 'sloper", so here it is. I thought it was done, but looking at the photo it seems to pull at the sleeve. Also, here is the motivation for perfecting this darn bodice... the jacket I REALLY wan't to draft and make...

Well, I had a pretty stink week, feeling pretty bad about myself, so I'm posting pictures of my latest creations to make myself feel better. If you ever wonder why I continually brag about my projects, it's not because I'm

conceited, it's because I have way low self esteme, and I need to make myself feel better... coz I'm failing in everyother area of my life AAARGHHH!

Anyway. The alien is for our church youth area. I designed the logo and made the signage today. (Our address is 51 Diorella drive, so they called it Area 51 - with Ephesians 2.19 being their key verse) I'll have to double check that reference. I'm putting it up tomorrow morning.

And the top, well, it's a top I totally drafted from scratch. I'm doing an on-line pattern making course and am going to make myself sooo many clothes... I'm redoing the base pattern for my bodice tonight, because although it made a decent enough top, I want to make a fitted jacket, and my pattern just wont do in the state its in. Keep ya posted!~
