Interior

Well, here's a sneak peak of all I did on my Datsun this week. The doors are not actually in yet, I just placed it there for the photo.

I wanted to see what it was going to end up looking like.
So pretty much all the interiour is sprayed black, I just need to put it all in. But first I will get the engine done, and then think about painting the body.

Datsun

These pictures are not too exiting I suppose. But to me they kind of are!! As you can see I sprayed the rest of the interiour black. Tomorrow I hope to put it all together. The trim, the carpet and the seats. I wonder how much I have increased the value? I will need the money eventually to buy myself a new van. I'm driving a 1992 toyota townace at the moment and it's not gonna last forever...

Ammendment

I wrote a few posts ago that God himself gives us each a measure of faith. Well I just heard a sermon last night... and I was WRONG. Apparently, we each HAVE a measure of faith and each have gifts. Then we each use our gifts according to the measure of faith we have, and as our measure increases, so does our ability to use our gifts.
Well there you go! :)

datsun

Today I sprayed alot of the interior black. Hope to do the rest tomorrow. Didn't get to do as much as i'd hoped because I woke up and found that I'd forgotten to empty the rubbish bin and maggots were crawling out and wiggling all over the floor. What that movie... Creepers?

Anyhow, spent first half of the day cleaning up filth. Then I got to spend the rest blissfully at work on the dato.

the datsun continues...

NOTE: I know the carpet is all bunched up... I'm still putting it in... this is what I've done today.

Well, I spent all day working on my Datsun. Yep, it still exists and I've decided it's time to get as much done before winter as I can.

As usual, I have limited funds, so I'm using up the stuff I have already aquired.

What have I done recently? Well, I'm in the process of painting the cover for the air filter.. and probably the cover of the engine itself.. can't remember what it's actually called... the part that covers the valves.. it's rusty. Gonna splash out and buy some undercoat and light blue spray paint tomorrow.

Also going to buy some vinyl dye too, because I'm going ahead and painting the interior black now and the one can I bought doesn't go that far, but does a great job... check out the cover for the gear stick.. or what ever you call that thing in automatic cars... I'm really in the know aye... I'm such a girl... "gear stick thingy".

I attempted to put the carpet in. Didn't really think long and hard about the process, just went ahead and cut, and now the two pieces of carpet don't meet in the middle. Well, the seats will cover that bit and I have enough to patch it. A bit shoddy, but it'll do. I'm hoping the overall effect will be ok. I'm doing this up with a girl in mind. I know guys are super touchy when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Anywho...hopefully I'll have more to post tomorrow.

Once all the interior is done, I'm gonna start saving to get the engine reconditioned. Then a paint job. Lastly bumpers... and send it off to the mechanic... might need a new radiator too.

cake!

I made a cake, for fun. I had to try out my nozzles my friend Charmaine purchased for me through her course when she studied partisare (or however that is spelt!)

I'm thinking I should have taken it to church, because we're only 1 third through and there's only 3 of us to eat it. A bit ew in a way... not the cake, just the fact I'll probably be eating half of it myself in a week....

Another mural

Mural done by request for a friend... it's better than the ones I did for my own daughter... oops!

Anyhow... turned out great. Pretty pleased with it :)

I've done some more art. I want to submit something for the GreenLane Christian Centre's "Ad Finem" series... I'm not even sure what it's on... Easter I think.. the key words are: Forgiveness, hope, compassion. security, satisfaction, purpose and eternity.

The top one of the old man is what I did today, but as usual I don't like it that much, but no worries! I'm starting up a folder of art for our church garage sale. Hopefully I've got another week to do something I like.

Faith

When I was so sick I was hallucinating I lost my faith. For a short while I felt like I was in a jungle of animalistic people, that the law of the jungle reigned and evolution was proved true because "dog" was "God" spelt backwards.( I know you don't have to be insane to believe in evolution, but you do on that line of reasoning!!!)

Once I was stabalised and on medication, I recovered my faith, but was furious at God. "What if I'd DIED during my hallucinations?" I thought "I would have sunk straight to hell!" As if it all depended on my ability to muster up "faith". Little did I understand then that God has it all under control. Yes "We are justified through faith" (Romans 5:1) but it is God himself who imparts the faith in the first place! As it says in Romans 3:12 "Measure yourselves according to the faith God has GIVEN you".

And as my friend Dr John says, have faith in God, not faith in faith!!
