A typical New Zealand dairy

These are in every suburb all over New Zealand. They sell milk, newspapers, phone cards and most important when you are a kid.... LOLLIES. I've always had reoccuring dreams, and I used to have this dream alot where I was in a dairy buying all the lollies and chocolate I could lay my hands on... and to be honest, I was still having that dream at 24 years of age!!

Forgive me for asking, but what is a Lollie? I'm guessing it's an ice cream cone, but. . .

Hi dcpeg... ice cream cones are also tradional 'dairy' treats, but what do you call lollies in America? sweets? the equivalent of things like jelly babies, m & ms usually in glass containers that you can buy for 10 cents each (or when I was a kid, one cent each):)
