Hmm. Better be careful what I put in my blogg. I know somethings I think at night don't sound so good in the harsh light of day. Maybe I'll just stick to my knitting as the expression goes. :)

When He Reigns

Well, I thought I might actually try "blogging" something... just sitting in the lounge after putting my daughter Catherine to bed, I was just thinking about the book of Revelations... I think it's my favourite book at the moment... and just thinking why.. it's probably because the atrocities that happen in the world distress me. I think about it alot, and it really marrs my experience on earth because I don't enjoy being in a world where people suffer beyond belief. That's why I find the book of Revelations so encouraging. I don't worry about the Judgement day for myself. I can't change the past and I beleive I'm clay in the potters hands anyway, but I just LOVE the bit when the people before the throne stand up and basically say... YES, God, you finally REIGN, for good, as you should. (to paraphrase). I get it. I get the joy. No more suffering... I won't list the things that go through my mind, but no more of it anyway. Looking forward to that day, that's for sure.

Christmas figures, repainted

Ok. I've just finished repainting the christmas figures for our church. They are still on my signwall, hence the rough edges (they are cut out of plywood, and they end at the black outline.)

I'm still not as good as my "glory days" before I got sick and ended up with the concentration of a goldfish, but the overall effect is good, and it's better than what I would have done a few years ago.

More crazy crochet bags

Here they are. The black one is from a book called "Crochet Bags! by Candi Jensen", and the colourful one is just a whole lot of medalions sewn together. I didnt quite work out a good technique for putting them together... so it's pretty haphazard. I call it my Mary Poppins bag, coz it's sooo wonky! But I like it anyway.

ooo... I love myself! not. Well, here's my bag. Made it at the bach to experiment before attempting Teresa's gift. So this is really my first one. Actually, 3rd. I should post my other tw0 as well.

I made a bag!

I made a bag for my friend's 30th. I'm not sure how great it is... it turned out very, well, brown. I'm sure she won't mind. The flower turned out quite pretty. I've got another one on the way, for me! so off I go :)

Crocheted wristlets

Ok. I look a bit ridiculous. But this is why I started my blogg! I wanna show off my stuff... (blush). I crocheted these in a day. I kinda followed a pattern... but basically if you want to make them, they are just a big rectangle with holes for the thumb (for those who can crochet ), and a bit of extra width for the arm... then tacked together.
